Optimize Fraud Control: Standardized AVS Management
AVS Orchestration
The Address Verification Service (AVS) is a crucial fraud tool that checks the billing address provided by the customer against the address on file with their issuing bank.
Deuna simplifies this process. When you process transactions through any of our supported PSPs, we retrieve the raw AVS response, standardize it, and allow you to define a universal rejection policy that applies to every single transaction processed through our platform.
DEUNA AVS standardization
Payment gateways use their own unique and often confusing AVS codes (e.g., a gateway might use 'Z' for one match type, while another uses 'X'). This makes setting a unified fraud strategy nearly impossible.
Deuna solves this by standardizing every gateway AVS code into a single set of easy-to-understand DEUNA AVS Codes.
This allows you to create one unified fraud policy that automatically works for every payment gateway you have configured in your strategy.
Automatic transaction denial
The core value of Deuna AVS is the ability to instantly stop high-risk transactions.
You can easily configure in the Deuna Admin which specific DEUNA AVS Codes should trigger an automatic denial of the transaction, overriding the gateway's acceptance response.
Set auto-denial rules
Configuring your AVS rejection policy is done quickly within the Deuna Admin portal:
- Log in to the DEUNA Admin.
- Navigate to Error Management.
- Click AVS Settings.
- Check the boxes of any code that represents an unacceptable level of risk for your business.
- Click Save.
Any future transaction that returns a selected AVS code is automatically rejected before authorization, regardless of the underlying payment gateway.
An anti-fraud engine must be active to define AVS rules.
