Parent Account
Manage multiple merchants from a single access point with DEUNA's Parent Account.
The Parent Account (also known as Network Account) allows large merchants operating across multiple countries or business units to manage all their accounts from a single access point in the DEUNA Admin.
With this feature, global teams can view orders, request reports, and visualize consolidated metrics without needing to switch between individual accounts.
PrerequisiteOnly networks with the
parent_account_accesscapability enabled can access the Parent Account feature. Contact your DEUNA Account Manager to enable it.
What can you do with the Parent Account?
From the Parent Account you can:
- Authenticate in Network or Merchant mode from a single selector in the Admin.
- View aggregated information (orders, reports, dashboards) from all merchants associated with your network.
- Filter and drill down information by individual merchant when needed.
- Download reports — both ad-hoc and scheduled — with consolidated data from the merchants in your network.
ImportantThe Parent Account works in both environments: Production (PROD) and Sandbox (SBX), based on the permissions and access assigned to each user.
Network / Merchant Selector
Upon logging in, users with access to a network will see a selector that groups:
- Networks — Available Parent Accounts.
- Merchants — Individual merchant accounts.
How it works
- The selector displays only the networks and merchants the user has access to based on their
network_idand/ormerchant_id. - Only one selection at a time is allowed: when changing the selection, the session reloads and authenticates into the selected account (Network or Merchant).
- You can search for networks and merchants by name within the dropdown.
NoteWhen selecting a Network, the system automatically validates the merchants and permissions (e.g., view orders, export reports, view metrics) that the user has within that network.
Orders
When authenticated in the Parent Account, the Orders section displays a consolidated list of transactions from all network merchants you have access to.
Order list
- A Merchant column is added indicating which merchant each order belongs to.
- A multi-select filter allows you to filter by one or more merchants in the network..
Time zone
- Orders are displayed in UTC by default.
- You can change the time zone to your preferred format using the IANA time zone format (e.g.,
America/Mexico_City,America/Bogota). - When a different time zone is selected, all orders are converted to that time zone regardless of the country of origin.
Order detail
- The detail view includes the Merchant field with the merchant name.
- Dates are shown in the time zone selected by the user, with the option to change it.
- If the selected time zone differs from the order's original time zone, a tooltip is displayed on the date fields indicating this difference.
Permissions example for OrdersSuppose the network has merchants CO, MX, PE, and EC. If your user has View orders permission only for CO and MX, when you access the Parent Account you will only see transactions from CO and MX in the order list.
Exports and reports
From the Parent Account you can request and download consolidated reports that include data from multiple merchants.
Requesting a report
- Open the export drawer from the Orders or Reports section.
- Use the merchant multi-select filter to choose which merchants' data to include.
- If you don't select any specific merchant, data from all merchants in the network you have access to will be included.
- Select the time zone (UTC or a specific zone) for the report dates.
- Confirm the request.
Export permissionsThe merchant filter only shows merchants where you have Download and request reports permission. This is independent of the View orders permission. For example, you might have access to view orders for CO, MX, PE, and EC, but only be able to export reports for CO and MX.
Scheduled reports
Scheduled reports also support the Parent Account view. When configuring a scheduled report, you must specify at least one merchant.
Exported file format and columns
Files are generated in ZIP format and support volumes of approximately up to 10 GB. The file includes the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
merchant_id | Merchant identifier |
merchant_name | Merchant name |
currency_usd | USD currency |
amount_usd | Amount converted to USD |
currency_local | Local currency of the merchant's country (UYU, COP, MXN, etc.) |
amount_local | Amount converted to local currency |
currency_original | Original transaction currency |
amount_original | Original transaction amount |
date_utc | Creation date in UTC |
date_timezone | Creation date in the selected time zone |
Report statuses
Each export creates a record in the Reports table with the following statuses:
- Generating — The report is being generated.
- Available — The report is ready for download.
- Failed — An error occurred during generation (a descriptive message is displayed).
Metrics
The metrics dashboards in the Parent Account display aggregated data from all merchants in the network.
Key features
- Unified currency in USD: All monetary values are expressed in US dollars (USD), unlike individual merchant mode which displays in local currency.
- Merchant filter: A multi-select filter allows you to include or exclude merchants from the visualizations. By default, all merchants you have access to are included.
- Reactive filters: All charts respond to the applied merchant and time zone filters.
Data verificationThe GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) total shown in Network mode equals the sum of the individual GMV values from each merchant's view, expressed in USD.
Permissions and access
The Parent Account strictly respects the permissions assigned to each user per merchant. This means that when authenticating into the network, you can only perform actions on merchants where you have the corresponding permissions.
How permissions work
Permissions are validated per merchant and per action. A user can have different access levels across different merchants within the same network.
Example 1: View permissions
- The network has merchants: CO, MX, PE, EC.
- The user has View orders permission for CO and MX.
- When accessing the Parent Account, the user will only see orders from CO and MX, even though the network has more merchants.
Example 2: Mixed permissions
- The network has merchants: CO, MX, PE, EC.
- The user has Download reports permission only for CO.
- The user has View orders permission for CO, MX, and PE.
- When accessing the Parent Account, the user will see orders from CO, MX, and PE, but will only be able to export reports for the CO merchant.
New merchants in the networkWhen a new merchant is added to the network, you must assign the corresponding permissions to the desired role or user so they can access that merchant's information from the Parent Account.
Unavailable features
The following actions are not available from the Parent Account and require authenticating into the individual merchant:
- Connections: Management of PSPs, APMs, and anti-fraud engines.
- Payment strategies: Creation and editing of strategies.
- Installment campaigns: Management of installment campaigns.
- Batch processing: Bulk upload and processing of operations.
- Payment Link: Management of payment links.
