Getting Started with Venmo

Venmo is a digital wallet and payment app that lets you send, receive, and store money electronically. It’s commonly used for peer-to-peer payments (like splitting bills) and also works for paying at online stores or apps.

How it Works

With Venmo, you link a funding source such as a bank account, debit card, or balance. When you make a payment, the money is taken from your selected source or Venmo balance and transferred instantly or within a short time to the recipient. For purchases, Venmo acts as a wallet at checkout, allowing you to pay securely without sharing your financial details directly with the merchant.

Important Note

Venmo is only available within the United States.
