VTEX Promotions

A promotion is a discount granted to the customer on one or more products in the cart, on shipping cost, or even as a gift. In VTEX, the retailer can create a series of rules that, depending on the purchase context, will determine if and how the discount will be applied.

In V2 Widget we have managed to integrate promotions and Gift cards in embedded applications so you can continue boosting your sales. Currently, we have support for the following use cases:

Regular Promotions by Card BINs

To perform a test, you must create a promotion in your store following these steps:

• Step 1: Enter your promotions module → promotions.
• Step 2: Press the button in the upper left that says "Create Promotion" and add the data for the type of discount you want to apply.
• Step 3: In the "What are the conditions for the promotion to be valid?" option, select "Use restriction BINs". Add the BINs and, when making a purchase, you will see something similar to this.

Regular Promotions by Franchise through Marketing Tags

To handle promotions by franchise, we use an alternative due to our "payment method DeunaNow" connector.
