Manage payment links

Payment Links allow you to create payment links for customers who need to make a remote payment without physically visiting the store or accessing a complex payment page.

By clicking on the link, the customer accesses the transaction details and completes the payment securely.

Create payment links

Create Payment Links to allow your users to make payments quickly and easily.

Steps to follow

  1. Access Payment Links in the side menu
  2. Select the Create a payment link button
  3. Define the name of the payment link
  4. Enter the name and price of the product

    It is possible to add more than one product in the payment link

  5. Add the available additional configurations
  6. Select payment methods that you will make available for the payment link
  7. Click on Create payment link

Basic options

The following table shows the basic options for Payment Link:

Expiration dateDefine the duration of the payment link validity, allowing it to expire after a specific period of time.
Successful payments limitLimit the number of successful orders available per payment link before automatically deactivating.

Advanced configurations

The following table shows the advanced configurations for Payment Link:

Payment attempt limitEstablishes the number of payment attempts allowed (including rejections) each time the payment link is accessed.
Payment confirmation page customizationAllows defining redirection to your own payment confirmation page, whether it's successful payment confirmation page, pending payment, or failed payment.

Payment method selection

Define the available payment methods in the Payment Link when making a transaction.

Credit or debit card payment methods are mandatory.

Alternative payment methods are optional.

Edit a payment link

Edit the following fields of a Payment Link:

NameChange the name of the payment link to reflect a more appropriate or relevant title.
ProductAdd or remove products and product details associated with the link.
Expiration dateModify the expiration date to extend or shorten the validity of the payment link.
TaxesExclude, include, or change the amount of taxes applied to the payment total.
ShippingChange the amount associated with shipping.
Redemption limitModify the number of successful orders from the link before it deactivates.
You cannot decrease the number of available successful orders if they have already been applied.
Custom confirmation pageChange the redirect URL for payment confirmation.
Payment methodsAdd or remove available payment methods to adapt to different customer preferences.

Keep in mind the following:

  • Edits made to an active payment link are applied immediately and affect all users who access the link.
  • You cannot decrease the redemption limit (successful orders) if they have already been redeemed.

Error codes

The following table shows the error codes related to Payment Link and their description:

EMA-6021An error occurred while trying to create the payment link template.
EMA-6022The requested Payment Link template could not be found.
EMA-6023There was an error while trying to update the Payment Link template.
EMA-6024The requested state transition is not valid or the state does not allow modifications.
EMA-6025The Payment Link template has expired and can no longer be used.
EMA-6026The maximum usage limit allowed for the Payment Link has been exceeded.
EMA-6027The Payment Link template has already been completed.
EMA-6028The Payment Link template is deactivated and cannot be used.
EMA-6029The Payment Link template has been canceled, so it is not possible to continue with the operation.
